WRAP - Winners Reaching Amazing Potential

We are happy to announce that the WRAP Program at Marshall Academy of the Arts will be sponsoring all after school activities for this school year.

Information About WRAP

What is WRAP?

WRAP at Marshall Academy of the Arts consists of upbeat program leaders who facilitate fun learning based activities for enrolled students of the program.  Marshall’s WRAP program provides students with a variety of group activities including: (seasonal) sports, film, theater arts, and cheerleading/dance.

How is WRAP supporting my child?

Program leaders are eagerly waiting to greet their students at the cafeteria when the school day ends.  After students receive a snack, they gather at designated areas and prepare for various club activities.  During a designated homework hour, program leaders assist students with any questions they may have on their homework as well as provide additional educational enrichment activities to reinforce topics students are learning during the school day.

WRAP has a district wide program goal for all students to be proficient in math, so students practice math facts and integers three days a week.  WRAP also provides two hours of tutoring after school Monday through Friday to support student needs at Marshall Academy of the Arts.

After the day’s activities, students gather in the cafeteria to debrief and discuss any questions or concerns they may have encountered during the day or while in WRAP.

WRAP fun?

In past years, WRAP has taken students to Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Six Flags, John’s Incredible Pizza and pretty much every fun park you can think of.  These incentives are provided for great student behavior, consistent attendance, and most importantly, for good grades.  WRAP also encourages fun at the school site by hosting intramural sports competitions with other WRAP programs throughout the district, student BBQ’s, and some occasional water fun with things such as inflatable water slides for those hot days.  WRAP is always looking for creative ways to excite students and give them a meaningful and enriching time when a part of the program.
